When Ink Differently was first formed, we looked at a variety of printing processes that are in use today. Instead of being another printing shop, making the same low-quality prints at low quality prices, we wanted to help our clients create attractive, durable and high-quality products that were elegant enough for an art exhibition, but durable enough for your kitchen. Because of this commitment to quality, we've chosen to use Dye Sublimation for all of our work.
Dye Sublimation excels over the competition in many ways, and the durability of sublimated images is second to none. Most printing processes simply lay ink or dyes on top of an item, and then fix it there using heat or another catalyst. Because of this, the printed images are exposed directly to the sun, to scratching, and to other forms of weathering. Dye Sublimation rises above these problems by embedding the inks deep into the surface of the material by using pressure and heat, making Sublimated products more durable and fade resistant than those printed by conventional processes.
Many conventional printing processes offer a limited palette of colors, which are often restricted to low resolutions. However, Dye Sublimation technology (coupled with several years of in-house research and color work) allows us to print in full, accurate color at photo–quality resolutions. Also, because much of the process is digital, we can take advantage of the newest in computer graphics technology, allowing you to have the highest quality print possible.
The true beauty of Dye Sublimation is in its versatility. The same Dye-Sublimation quality, color and durability can be used on a variety of surfaces, including:
For these reasons and more, Ink Differently has chosen Dye Sublimation printing to meet your demands for quality, durability, and variety in all of our printed goods. We're proud of our results from this groundbreaking technique, and we hope that you will be too!
